It's True, What They Say About the Stars at Night In Texas

This is a 30 second exposure of the ancient cattle pens in Marathon, Texas. You can see the stars, of course, but the scale house building, where they used to weigh the cattle before loading them into a boxcar, is being illuminated by a passing train. The train tracks are right beyond the cattle pens, and a train that passed from right to left illuminated the house. That long bright streak on the right hand side is the lights of the train passing by. So the front of the scale house was illuminated for about 15 seconds by the train's headlight, the locomotive passed, and the train rumbled on by, its lights blurring into streaks. You can't see the train because the exposure was so long.
