These large live oaks bend this way because of the persistent winds off the Gulf of Mexico, which is about 200 yards away. Goose Island
This tombstone is for a child who was born and died on the same day in April, 1891. The inscription reads "Our little boy sleeps sweetly here." I can only imagine the sadness with which this was placed.
It Doesn't Look Too Tasty
